Yay at last a new outfit post! I wasnt feeling tip top when these were taken but I think I did a good job faking it :P Who wouldnt be at least a little happy though wearing these stunning stripes from Trenery :)

Today is my Birthday :) Yay! It is perfect summer weather slap bang in the middle of winter so I am incredibly happy as I had my birthday in summer for the last 5 years. Had breakfast with my mom and sister and now I am going to have a lovely relaxed day and wait for Michael to come home :) x

Happy Monday everyone. As you all probably know by now its my birthday today (haha i get crazy excited about any type of special days) and the weather as given me a huge present by making it hot enough to wear a skirt and even though I am not quite as tan as I would like to be I am totally rocking it because I can!
The day has been uber special so far and big thanks go out to my boyfriend Michael as well as to my mom and two sisters although I will talk more about that in tomorrows post :P 


I just want to also say a huge special thanks to my amazing boyfriend who always takes the best outfit pics and is so very patient with me! :)

Orange and teal is a combo I first tried out here and I have been loving it ever since! The print jacket adds a bit of interest to the outfit and I love how the big orange handbag pops against the teal. Dont you just love my location as well? :)

Today I want to tell you all about a new range of face care products by Ponds. The range is called flawless radiance (it has pink packaging btw!) and it is specifically targeted to brighten and even out your skin. I do have problems with my skin looking dull and I have pigmentation from the sun so this range is perfect for me.

I am going to tell you about my three favourite products, although I think all of them are quite fabulous!

Anti spot intensive even tone serum:

This anti-pigmentation serum has become definitely become a firm skincare favourite of mine in a short space of time. I have been using it for about two weeks and I can really say that my skin loves me for it. The velvety soft serum glides on giving my skin a soft appearance and it is the perfect base for my foundation as well.  It intervenes the cycle that creates dark spots and works day by day to prevent new discoloration as well as fading stubborn dark spots.

Even tone facial foam:

I don’t have a lot of cleaners that I really like, mostly because they don’t feel like they clean enough or they don’t have enough foam. The same can definitely not be said about the Ponds Even tone facial foam. You only need a little bit to create a thick luxurious lather that takes away all traces of daily grime and impurities to leave your face feeling squeaky clean but most importantly not tight or uncomfortable. It is very gentle and I use it in the morning and at night to brighten my complexion.

Blemish prevention UV cream:

We all know how bad sun damage is for your skin so it is imperative that you use a daily cream with SPF protection. The ponds blemish prevention cream has a non-greasy, light weight texture that glides onto your skin making it feel fresh! It doesn’t leave your skin oily like most creams with an SPF which is my favourite thing about it and it protects you from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays.
After a few weeks of use I can definitely see changes in my skin and it especially looks brighter and healthier!

I have been loving yellow lately, be it pastel or bright it has just crept into my heart and made me feel all happy and warm! I recently got this yellow skirt, another pair of light yellow jeans and a yellow handbag so I am so excited to rock out in the fun color all summer long!

Another wonderful sunny day in Cape Town and its almost weekend! Can life get any better?? I have been doing a lot of reading on my ipad that I got for my birthday, so awesome for reading a few books at once :P Other than that I have tried to start doing video again, so far new ones include my birthday outfit video, a skincare one and a Mr Price online store launch video. Hopefully loads more to come soon :)

If you dont know by now (and you should!) Mr Price has launched an online store! If you read my blog you will know that I am an avid fan of Mr Price and usually at least one item in my outfit is from them. They are always on trend and really affordable and now you can have their goodies delivered to your door! YAY!

To be completely fair this is not really today's OOTD but rather Sunday's when the weather was awesomely warm and called for summer gear rather than today where it is all leather jackets and long pants. I swear Cape Town can really have four seasons in a span of a week and sometimes even a day!

After almost the whole weekend without internet I am back YAY! :P Our phone line suddenly decided to start acting up and we had to get it fixed but at least it meant lots of reading, eating yummy food (including to die for sushi and roast)and having long hot baths with the sound of rain on the windows (and wine and candles of course!) 

 A trip to Hout Bay wearing quite the nautical outfit made want to take some photos at the pretty harbour. It was a bit chilly with the wind wipping in my hair but all worth it to have the colorful boats in the background. I have to go back again soon for some more photos! It started raining just as we reached the car so I am so happy we snapped a few at least. I would definitely suggest visiting Hout Bay and the harbour are if you find yourself in Cape Town!

Just a warning, after you see these pics you will more than likely be craving to go to the beach! If you are lucky enough to have summer where you are please go take a dip for me :P This location is one of my absolute favorites as the scenery is AMAZING but... unfortunately (if you are from Cape Town you will probably recognize it) its a nudist beach! Its also a really good surfing and body boarding beach as well as having a great trail to walk but beware if you dont want to see people's bits dont go there :P These were luckily take at the start of the beach where there are mostly rocks and no people!

Yesterday I got a lovely surprise in the post from Sass Diva! They never fail to amaze me with their cute goodies and packaging and I was delighted about everything i got in my Woman's day treat package. 

How stunning is the gold collar and the love bracelet?? Cant wait to wear them! I also made a little video showing the goodies but sorry for the muffled sound as some places, I am still trying to figure out my ipad! Boots from Zoom | Bershka jeggings | Asos jacket | New Look scarf | Bag from VJ-Style

Over the weekend we left Cape Town and took a drive out to the pretty town of Franschhoek (French corner). The weather was ideal for chilling in front of the fire and drinking red wine and that is exactly what we did! On Friday we had a big lunch at Allora (the lamb shank was delicious!) and then on to the pretty cottage where we were staying for drinks. Saturday was spent walking around town and we visited Le Chocolatier for hot chocolate and Dutch East for wine. Later we actually went back to Dutch East to have their awesome burgers for dinner! Sunday morning we had breakfast at the quaint Kalfi restaurant and then the drive back to Cape Town began!

We dont have a lot of very cold weather in my opinion in Cape Town but August always pushes my limits with long rain days where my fingers go all icy. Thank goodness winter is peppered with stunning sunny days otherwise I would not be able to make it through! Everyone knows about my aversion to winter clothing so my sister kindly lent me her boots, jacket and scarf as I was so ill equipped for the weather. xx
