Earlier on I posted a cold weather outfit so I just thought it would be fair to post a nice sunny weather one! This cute hi-lo casual dress from Glamorousuk is perfect to wear to the beach or to a relaxed lunch in summer. I paired it with bling and neon pink and even though I hardly ever wear earrings I thought the bright pink hoops from Sass Diva would go so well with the neon Woolworths handbag!

Last night was the much anticipated launch of Zara in Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront. I was lucky enough to attend and be one of the first to shop and see all the new stunning goodies! For the almost four years I was living in Malta  I basically had Zara on my doorstep (5 min walk away) so it definitely took some adjusting coming back to SA without my favorite store here, but now there is nothing missing and I feel like I have really come home! The prices also seem to be on par with the ones in Europe so I dont have to stock up anymore on overseas trips to get my fix!

The store looks amazing from the layout to the pretty trend coordinated sections of the store. One of my favorite sections was the pastel one of course but everything had me drooling and I cant wait to go visit again. 

Myself and my sister went together and I think between us we cleared out the store leaving with three massive bags! She loved all the studs while i was drawn to the nudes and tropical styles. I cant wait to show you all what we bought and we will be doing a nice haul video that we will put up next week!

Spring florals might be a bit of a cliche but its such a fun one I cant just never give it a miss. When the sun came out to play I just knew I had to take advantage of the weather and wear my pretty and classic floral dress I bought last week. To me there is something oh so glam about wearing a full palette of nudes. Blush pink and soft cream colors are so enticing especially when spring is lurking around the corner. The Zara jacket is one of the pieces I got from the launch at the Waterfront Zara store and I just know that it will be a staple piece of mine!

Recently I wore some white jeans in my outfit posts and I was so happy to see that everyone loved them just as much as I do! White jeans are so trendy for spring and summer but recently it has been seen as a year long classic staple that should grace every fashionista's closet! 

Here are some inspiring ideas on how to wear white jeans:

1. Rock them with a strictly black and white look like I did on my Monochrome post

To be completely honest give me two scoops of Zara with a sprinkle of Asos any day instead of some gelato! There is something about faded ice cream colors I just cant seem to get away from and I actually dont want to. I love how the subtle studs of the pants and the rose gold toe caps on the shoes take the look from overly girly to just the right combination (for a pastel lover like me anyway!)

Happy Friday everyone! Today I give you a taste of what summer has to offer! Lots of lying by the pool reading magazines, drinking exotic cocktails, swimming and my favorite, dressing up in shorts and flowy tops! These lemon and pink colors scream summer and they make me want to grab a granita and towel and soak in the sun. 

My sister shot the pics at their house and I just love how happy looking they came out! All sunshine and pretty colors. She also showed me a little discovery she made concerning these chain print shorts that was bought on ebay but come from Primark. They are actually featured in a new SA fashion mag for R1200 while the ones I am wearing were only a few pounds! Talk about Splurge vs Save! 

Hope you are all about to have an amazingly FAB weekend! (Ps. Huge Zara haul video with my sister coming on Monday! Exciting!!)

I am always trying out new mascara's in the hope that I have found the "it" one. Recently I was able to try the new Revlon colorstay overtime lengthening mascara (R130) and I must say I am so pleased with the results on my lashes. It has a long wearing formula that leaves you without clumps, flaking and smudges for up to 24 hours which is just perfect for those days when you go straight from work out to a party or event. No one wants to see your raccoon eyes right?!! It is also water and humidity resistant so a must have for summer pool parties and days spent at the beach (I know you at least wear mascara to the beach!)

I paired my mascara with a classic look of red lips (cherry desirable from Revlon) and matte face (revlon colorstay foundation)

I sometimes hate how the weather plays cruel tricks on us, overcast and raining on weekends and then Friday and again today perfect sunny weather! At least we made the most of the horrible weather by doing some shopping and this time not for me! We got Michael a lovely Zara man trench coat and sports coat and some other basic wardrobe goodies for spring. We also had lots and lots of yummy sushi at Willoughby and Co & Sevruga which are my two fave sushi eating places.

Get the look with GHD {New Age Beehive}

At the 2012 MBFW here in Cape Town the the GHD stylists team created a New Age Beehive look for the Michelle Ludek fashion show. Today I am going to show you in a few simple steps how easy it is to recreate this catwalk style at home with GHD styling products.



1. Wash and towel dry your hair 
2. Pump GHD style total volume foam (R195) onto your hand 
3. Using the detangling comb from GHD (R105) work the product through your hair
4. Make sure it is evenly spread out.
5. Blow dry your hair until it is completely dry
6. Spritz dry hair section by section with GHD style curl hold spray (R195)
7. Get out your GHD gold classic styler (R1999)
8. Section your hair into 2 cm pieces and start curling it with the GHD styler
9. To create GHD curls take a section of hair, place the styler horizontally into the hair, rotate 180 degrees and slowly pull through the length of the hair.
10. Once the hair is curled use your fingers to rouge the curls (Hold each strand at the end and push towards the root)
11. Now take your hair and loosely pin it at the back section of your head. Add a headband to give it the flatter and then fuller effect! Spray to hold.

Today went past in what seems like a whirlwind and although I am happy to have the day end and chill out with Michael I do wish i could have squeezed an extra couple of hours in! This morning I played around in the apartment a bit changing things around and organizing a bit as we have been putting to much on hold lately. I also had the misfortune of a courier knocking on our door while I was wearing a face mask so I had to make him slip the papers to sign under the door and leave the package outside! :P The glam life of a fashion blogger right?!

I am just loving my limited addition studded clutch I received at the launch of the new Zara store in Cape Town. It just adds that perfect bit of edge to an outfit and it is so much easier to carry around. I also love the studs but wish they were gold as I would probably get a lot more wear out of it then!
