Yesterday I had to run some errands and do some shopping in between so I opted for an easy casual outfit and tied up hair which I hardly ever do! The gloves came with as a precaution but the weather stayed fine! Cant say the same for today though as the rain is pelting. I did get some successful shopping done and now I can strike red and white long sleeve stripe top, heaps of pearls for my neck, cream sweater and shimmery mint jeans of my list! (no there wasnt a list but it does seem to put some method in my random shopping!)

Pretty new shoes from ebay that I am wearing in my outfit post that will be up later today and three pretty new nail polish colors from Essence.





I had to get the furs out (faux fur that is...) to brave the icy cold weather we had on Friday night!

Got a surprise package of Vitamin waters in the post on Friday, YUM! Drinking a fruit punch one now.



What I had on underneath my furs, I dont usually do black and silver but I quite liked the combo.

This weekend has been quite cold and perfect for wearing the vintage faux fur coat from my mom! I love the whole mix of icy pastels, fur and pearls. It feels so chic and with it snowing in a lot of the Western Cape at the moment an ice princess inspired outfit made me dream of a snowy winter wonderland!

I actually quite adore this outfit and it was perfect for going out on Sunday which was particularly nasty and cold!

I have already shared my love for hot chocolate in the afternoons, my decadent pink lamingtons and all my other guilty little secrets so today I thought I would show you how to make a guilty secret a not so guilty one!


I adore milkshakes and smoothies but sometimes they can have a lot more calories than you think they do. I have come up with a super healthy smoothie that leaves everything else I have had so far in the dust and it is super healthy as well!


What you need:


1 Scoop vanilla protein powder 
Handful of blueberries (the frozen ones from Woolies are great to use!)
2 Strawberries (and one for decoration)
1 Banana
2 blocks of ice
A half a glass of filtered water
If you have a sweet tooth and you want to turn it into a real low cal treat add some Canderel Yellow to taste


Pile everything into a blender and viola! Perfect healthy treat that is really good for you as well! Do you have any tips on making a guilty secret a not so guilty one?

Today has been one of those amazing hot days in the middle of winter. It makes me long for the summer ahead and gives us a break from the rain and icy weather! I totally took advantage of it by not dressing wintery at all and loved every second of the balmy breeze on my skin! These golden and beach tones would definitely look better with a tan but for now it will have to do, and who can complain when the sun is shining? :)

Yesterday I went to go fetch the cutest things at the post office! All pretty and pink! I got lovely sandals and cute pink shorts from the topshop sale! Then I also received the most stunning sweater (and the softest i have ever felt!!) and a pretty little skirt from Chicwish. I am sooo happy with all my goodies I cant wait for my other things to come!

Hope everyone is having a fab Friday so far! My week has been utterly full and crazy so I cant wait to relax, eat flapjacks and syrup, snuggle up and watch loads of movies! A few new colorful additions to my spring wardrobe from Woolworths & Mr Price! I am so glad I didnt buy similar Miu Miu style glitter heels at Zara as these were super inexpensive and really cute as well! :) The stripe top is a three quarter sleeve and from Trenery and the cute teal shift dress is from Woolies. It fits like a dream and I just know it will be a staple for summer! The cute print vest is from Mr Price and perfect for going to the beach and lazy hot days.

This weekend I was totally tricked by my super sneaky boyfriend! Last night I thought we were just going out for a relaxed dinner but when we got to the restaurant I got led to a "room" and when they opened the door I just heard SURPRISE!!! Naughty Michael (check out his blog Stillframemylife) had planned a surprise party/dinner for me and I must say I had absolutely no idea :P

I thought it would be fun to do a little bit of reminiscing about my birthday last year before my birthday this year (which is on Monday) Last year I spent it in Malta and the previous year in Sicily but this year I am back in good old Cape Town for my birthday for the first time in 5 years! (WOW)


Here is a little recap of last year, oh how i miss the summer sun! Pre Birthday celebrations started on the Friday when we went out to Mint for lunch, which was probably my all time favorite lunch spot in Malta and also just a minute walk away from our apartment. Then later we went for a sunset picnic on the rocks which was so sweet and romantic with our sparklers and bokeh heart filter making all the tiny little lights in St Julians shimmer! That Friday night Micheal stayed up till 2 in the morning wrapping presents and blowing up balloons to decorate the lounge with. 


When we woke up on my birthday we had a yummy breakfast and then spent the day at all the lovely beaches in Malta soaking up sun and drinking cocktails! For my birthday dinner I wore my cute leopard print dress and we took a walk to our local favorite restaurant Peperoncino for a delicious supper followed by a walk through the Festa decorated streets!

I am sure by now you are all pretty sick of looking at my vanity but the last couple of days of being sick has not really inspired me to go out. I did venture out yesterday though so YAY for having an outfit post up later! I also have some exciting news to share! Firstly if you didnt know Mr Price is launching their online store on Monday. I think this is an amazing step in the right direction for South Africa and I cant wait to shop and tell you all how it is! Then I am also starting a new weekly feature where some of my fave bloggers will be showing you all trends that are hot right now and their take on it!


I got some more cute summer goodies to show you all and I am especially excited about this 100% stunning dress from Mr Price. It fits like a dream (although the size does run small) and it is the cutest thing i have seen in ages! Then I also got a pretty yellow skirt from Asos as well as a very slinky sexy chain print dress from them as well. Come on summer I am ready to go!! :)
