I have really been getting into doing makeup tutorials lately especially with our new awesome tripod. I really loved the vogue cover with Emma Stone on it even though some people said it didn't look enough like her. The dark smokey eye, nude lips and peach cheeks with her hair up looked so pretty that I wanted to do an inspired look. I say inspired as I obviously altered it to suit my face shape as I dont look like Emma!

If you celebrate Christmas you probably have your tree up by now. We put ours up late yesterday afternoon (an made a little video doing it which I added down below) and I love it! I know most people still love traditional tree's and decor but I cant help but always be different. You can check out the tree from last year in THIS post.
I love the white and pastel theme and it goes really well with our apartment as well. I think red and green would have just clashed and this to me is still soft and christmassy, its like a snowy candyland! I really want to put out bowls of cute candy and get some snow spray still but we will have to see if I have time! :)

I didnt even realize how bee like I looked till I saw the photos of this outfit, but oh well I still think its really cute, and I do have a touch of leopard print! Lately we have been watching a lot of the tv series Suits and pencil skirts really remind me of the one female character. This past weekend was one of the busiest ones I have had in a while but super fun as well! I didnt take a lot of photos but I do have a few instagrams and video footage to share :)
On Saturday it was my nephews third birthday party so I started the day of at about 6 AM putting the finishing touches on his pirate cake. Then we went on the Jolly Roger pirate boat in the Waterfront where we had such a good time with family and friends. We we also lucky enough to spot some whales and dolphins right next to our boat!
After that we headed off the harbour house for champers followed by the quickest stop ever at home just to grab some things before heading out again. We went to Bascule bar for pre drinks at the Cape Grace and then off to the exclusive pre launch of the new beach club Shimmy Beach. It was probably one of the most amazing events I have been to in a while with Moet champagne flowing, waiters walking around with trays of expensive chocolates, sushi, steak and caramel vodka. Everyone has been rocking over sized beanies lately (not only hipsters!) and I am actually really loving it. Unfortunately it is way to hot at the moment to wear my own one so I thought I would dream a little bit on my blog! I adore this jewel encrusted beanie from Ps. I made this. It is the perfect way to bling up your holiday wardrobe if you live in a colder climate.Are you rocking the beanie look?

Recently I tried out the new Revlon Shanghai collection by Gucci Westman and I really love it! The colors are very rich.I tried out the Super lustrous lipstick in Cherry blossom (my new favorite red!) , Speed dry nail polish in Sterling, Nail art stencils, and the Midnight express eyeshadow palette.

I just love this cute shirt from ASOS. Lots of red lipstick kisses to go around and I almost look like some kind of weird Christmas elf!
I cant believe its almost Christmas though, I haven't had any chance to enjoy the festive season so that makes me sad but hopefully as soon as Mike finishes up with work for the year it will start getting better!

Yesterday we made some pastel Christmas cookies which will be up on the weekend and my Christmas tree is decorated in pastel so today I was very inspired to post about all things pretty and pastel. I know pastel is obviously not very traditional for Christmas but its so hot here this time of year (we are actually experiencing a heatwave right now) that pastel feels very crisp and cool to me!

I have been wanting to make iced sugar cookies for quite some time and the other day myself and my mom decided to make some! It was our first try and I am sure we will get better at the icing part but the cookies were delicious and I think they came out so cute! We went with pastel icing because my Christmas theme is pastel, and I love how pretty and soft it looks!
You can find the recipe for the sugar cookiesHERE.The icing is really easy! Mix icing sugar, 3 drops of acetic acid, 1 egg white and a tiny bit of food coloring together till you get the perfect spreadable consistency.

I am back after not posting for the last two days! :) Its been a bit crazy, especially with yesterday being a public holiday as well as all our Christmas and holiday preparations but I do have a few outfits and videos planned for this week so I am not disappearing just yet!I wore this cute playsuit from Status over the weekend, and I love how soft and light it is but also that it has a longer length, sometimes playsuits dont fit me as my body is longer but these ones are so perfect! The weather has been great to wear really loose items and definitely hats!We went to Rhodes memorial for these photos and I have actually never been there so it was very cool! I hope everyone is having a very happy Friday and festive season so far! Thank goodness the world did not end today as I am looking forward to going to Franschhoek later to go meet up with some family and relax, swim and braai!
I have been wearing very light items lately as it is just to hot for anything else! I know lots of you are experiencing cold weather and even snow, so I will appreciate our hot Christmas to its fullest :)

Merry Christmas for yesterday everyone that celebrate it! I didn't get a post up yesterday as I was obviously spending time with my family. We had a lovely relaxed and very hot day. Loads of swimming eating and laughing, and of course presents! It is probably weird for all of you that have a cold Christmas but we are so used to spending it in the heat and I have actually only had one cold one when we went to Michael's mom in the uk one year.
