I have been stuck in a kind of interior block for the last couple of months and only recently it seems like I have come out of hibernation and started to see everything with fresh eyes again. I think it is the fact that spring is on our doorstep that has made me want to redecorate and I have decided to start by adding pops of color to our mostly black and white apartment!
Here are some ideas I have pinned and found inspiring!

Mr Price red stripe top | Mr Price white shoes | Romwe.com shorts | Mr Price belt | Romwe.com handbag
The "I am in the middle of licking my ice cream pose" is not a very common fashion blogger one (neither are the lying flat on a bench and hands up in the air ones) so for today's post I thought they needed to see the light. Usually these are the ones that in a manner of speaking get left on the cutting room floor but sometimes we need to show our lighter side, am I right? Michael seems to be the man with the pose today so maybe you should check out his look for tips!
I also did my hair on Friday and I tried ash instead of golden tones. I love the way it came out!
All crazy photos of me were lovingly taken by Michael from Stillframemylife.com

There are few things I love more than the enticing smell of coconut and vanilla, it instantly takes me to a warm happy place filled with memories of summer. Now as summer approaches I will need more than something that smells nice to help my winter skin get summer ready and that is where Wellness Warehouse comes in.
They have a lovely range of body products that doesnt only smell nice but also helps repair, protect and prep your skin. My favorite product has been the Salt scrub that is enriched with dead sea salts and olive oil. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth and is perfect to use before applying my self tan. They also have a rich nourishing body butter that also comes in green tea, mango, strawberry, citrus and lavender & patchouli scent. The Body wash with organic aloe vera and the shea butter enriched hand cream are every day essentials that you definitely need in your bathroom!

I am so glad to be back with another colorful outfit after a whole bunch of neutral ones! I was also inspired to drink a pretty pineapple and orange flavored cocktail while out in the lovely sunshine! Matched my look perfectly, love it when that happens!

I always feel that stripes mixed with blacks and nudes have a very chic feel to them especially when you add a bit of gold sparkle! I also love adding little details to plainer outfits, with this one the scallop shorts, bold necklace and edgy studded handbag made it a bit more interesting to look at.
In decor news, I am still busy with my DIY projects and I am really getting excited now, all of them involve paint (the most adorable shade of mint for one of them!) and one is for the lounge, one for the dining area and one for the bedroom. Anyone want to take any guesses? They will all be featured with step by step how to's on my blog in the month of September so we can just as well call it DIY MONTH! :) Hope you are all as excited as I am.
I also wanted to take the time to thank each and every one of you that voted for me in the fashiolista New York competition. Unfortunately I did not win (boooo) which is really sad as I got invites to some really cool parties but oh well, going to make sure I am there next time and hopefully get to meet some US based readers which would be very exciting.

I am so glad the weekend is here and its finally time to relax! I got these super cute bracelets from my mom yesterday and I just had to show them off! They are from www.callitspring.com (they also have a shop in Canal walk) and is exactly the type of pretty but edgy bracelets I have been looking for! Today has been hot enough to go out with a dress on without even getting chilly so I am very happy!

Zara Heels | Zara silk leopard print shirt with shoulder studs | Black skinny jeans | Steve Madden handbag (similar cute one here)
It seems we are still having a few cooler days in between the hotter ones so I thought it would be a great time to wear something darker and a bit different to my usual bright looks! Leopard print and black make for a sophisticated combination if paired in the right way and who can go wrong with a stunning silk shirt with studs on the shoulders from Zara and a fab Steve Madden handbag.

I have been getting more and more into wearing big statement necklaces. It might not be something for everyone but it definitely gives and outfit a bit of interest. I love how this one repeated the colors on the Steve Madden handbag.
I cant believe its Thursday already this week seems to have blown by but I am very glad its almost the weekend (and I think it might be a hot one as well) so plenty of relaxing in store for me I hope!

Recently we have had an influx of overseas brands coming to our South African shores and I am in now way complaining! Steve Madden was one of those brands I always saw on overseas bloggers and their stunning shoes and handbags always went on my "wishlist" in my head and promptly into the search bar on ebay. Then they opened up in Johannesburg and although that is great and all, I dont live there so mostly I still had the same problem. When I heard they were opening up in Canal walk in Cape Town though I was ecstatic!
I had to go take a peek at their store and it didnt disappoint! Lots of colorful eye candy in the form of shoes (lots of them with enough sparkles and studs to last you a lifetime!) and lust worthy handbags like the one I have been parading around on my posts.
If you havent been there you definitely need to go but dont blame me if you walk out with one bag to many. xx

Shorts from Romwe | Mr Price sequin top | Chicwish.com mint blazer | Handbag from ebay | Call it spring spike bracelets | Lovisa skull bracelet | Mr Price mint studded loafers The last time i had been to The Kitchen at Masion was with this post right in the beginning of winter. Now at the beginning of spring we went again and althoug my outfit had changed apparently my choice in food and drink hadnt. I am such a creature of habit I mostly eat the same things at restaurant in fear of ordering something i dont like and then being annoyed with myself!
I opted to be comfortable and relaxed this time with shorts and flats so I could play with the kids and not worry about getting my heels dirty in the grass like I did last time.
This weekend is going to be the hottest one since summer ended so I am very excited for 30 degree weather, braai's, swimming and of course spending lots of time with Michael!
