On Sunday we took a long drive out to the picturesque Franschhoek to go to The Kitchen at Maison wine farm. It was a perfect sunny day and we had a lovely time sipping on champagne and red wine while eating delicious food. Its always great to get out of the buzz of the city and Franschhoek has been one of our favorite places to go and relax since coming back from Malta.
We sat at big picnic tables with chickens running around, surrounded by vinyards and the stunning restaurant with its amazing interior. I also ate (while tried to) the biggest piece of steak I have ever seen and succulent prawns, my dessert was a yummy chocolate pot but it got devoured before I even thought of taking out my camera!
